"Confluence" — Wang Chan & TCTO
Details
"Confluence" transcends mere collaboration, representing the dynamic intersection where diverse musical traditions and interpretive perspectives converge. Under the baton of Wang Chan, Chair of the Department of Music at National Kaohsiung Normal University, and in partnership with the Tainan City Traditional Orchestra, this performance synthesizes Western musical philosophy with the sonic architecture of the Chinese orchestra, creating a dialogue that crosses cultural boundaries. Through Wang’s unifying vision, distinct ideologies are juxtaposed—bridging the individual and the collective, the traditional and the contemporary, the East and the West—transforming the concert hall into a focal point of convergence and inviting the audience into a transcendent cross-cultural musical discourse.
