     Zhi Wen Lin was born in Kaohsiung City, and she has been learning music since childhood. She was graduated from Yancheng Elementary School, Hsin Hsing Junior High School, and Tainan National University of the Arts (7-year system) in Chinese music. She received mentorship of Chinese percussion from master Huang Ren Su. Zhi Wen Lin has been to Beijing for further study and received mentorship from master Jian Hua Wang and Yi Dong Wang. In addition, she received mentorship of western percussion from master De Hua Shi, and Professor Guo Xuan Wu. She is the percussion musician and chief of Tainan City Traditional Orchestra, one of the members of G2 Drum Arts, and a graduate student of Music Department in Tainan University of Technology currently. She is major in percussion and supervised by Professor Guo Xuan Wu. Zhi Wen Lin is now a tutor of many primary and secondary schools in Tainan City as well.

 

     Zhi Wen Lin has participated in national music competitions many times while in university, and won the second place of marimba solo of university percussion group at National Student Competition of Music in 2007. She won the first place of marimba solo of university percussion group at National Student Competition of Music, Tainan in 2006 and 2008. Zhi Wen Lin was the new talent of traditional music instruments in Chinese Chamber Music category in 2010. She won the fourth place at The Ninth Hong Kong Synergy 24 Drum Competition in 2011.

 

     Zhi Wen Lin has held concerts several times, including a joint concert with guzheng in 2006, solo recital in 2008, and 2010, a joint concert with her mentor Qi Mi Chen in 2011, a joint concert with her proteges in 2014, and a joint concert with Yu Han Tsao in 2016.
