Bo Yuan Chen is a member of Tainan City Traditional Orchestra currently, and a university lecture with a recognition from Ministry of Education. His teaching domain includes music instruments playing, national instrumental music, history of music in China, introduction to traditional music and sizhu chamber music.

     Bo Yuan Chen studied a seven-year system in TNNUA, and his major was flute. His mentor was Professor Zhong Shen Chen. Later he received a mentorship from Professor Ru Song Du, a Zhao school flute musician, and Professor Zhen Li, a Mongolian school flute musician. His sub majors are composing and piano, and were supervised by Li Jun Sui, and Professor Zhao Yi Zhou.

     After graduating from university, Bo Yuan Chen was accepted by both the graduate schools of TNNUA and National Taiwan University of Arts with the highest score. And at the time at TNNUA he had a joint supervision from Professor De Yuan Zheng, and Professor Zhong Shen Chen, and he obtained the master degree in Chinese music. Bo Yuan Chen presented a paper at “Conference on Musical Arts and Pedogogy” which was instructed by Ministry of Science and Technology, and organized by National Pingtung University in May, 2021.

     Bo Yuan Chen has been the TNNUA star musician and won the scholorship of TNNUA with his first place performance. He constantly delivered g outstanding performances in all sorts of competitions when he was still a student. He had been selected as the rising star by National Theater and Concert Hall (first place of the category of traditional music instruments- flute), first place of flute and Xiao final in university group at National Student Competition of Music by Ministry of Education, and the first place in the category of flute in both junior and adult groups at the competition by Chinese Music Association, Taiwan.
