     “I have a full spirit of Chinese music!” Jia Min Su shows 100% passion and determination to Chinese music. His expertise is Liuqin, Zhongruan, and Sanxian. His passion for Chinese music started from the time he was studying at National Tainan Second Senior High School. The tutor and the seniors of Chinese Music Society were fun to be with and fully devoted to music, and made Jia Min Su have a great passion for Chinese music. Later the high school was planning on closing Chinese Music Society, Jia Min Su and other members of the society made a protest. He only chose one major out of more than hundred departments when he was about to become a college freshman, and it certainly was music, the love of his life!

 

     Jia Min Su was invited to cooperate with Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, Taipei Liuqin Ensemble, and Shanghai Chinese Orchestra between 1994 and 1999. Together they did touring performances in San Francisco, Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Ningbo, and Hangzhou. Besides instrumental ensemble performances, Jia Min Su held several recitals as well.

 

     Jia Min Su was accepted by both Tainan City Traditional Orchestra and Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra in 2000. Owing to the love of his hometown and the wish of taking care of parents, he chose to be a member of Tainan City Traditional Orchestra.

 

     Jia Min Su has been holding charity concerts since 2000. Later in 2000, He founded “Su Jia Min Yuyin Strumming Orchestra” and participated the events held by Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, and cooperated with Hsin Chu Young Chinese Orchestra. He co-worked with the conductor Wen Qing Su, and Tainan Municipal Cultural Center and National Chinese Orchestra in 2014. Jia Min Su held a charity concert for Home for the Disabled in 2016. Later in May, he had a recital of the song “Reminiscences of Yunnan”at Gueiren Cultural Center. In 2017, Jia Min Su was invited to be the key speaker for the “The Appreciation of Music Instruments” workshop, and be the conductor of a Chinese orchestra. He had a performance of Zhongren duet in 2018, and led two orchestras to have a further communication musically. Jia Min Su had a solo performance in 2019.
