Yun Zhen Liu has been learning pipa since she was nine. She was enlightened by musician Mei Duan Lu, and received mentorship from Professor Liang Xing Tang, and musician Jie Ming Du. Yun Zhen Liu had been instructed by several pipa musicians and educators, such as Guang Zu Li, Jie Zhao, Yin Chen, Yang Jiang, Zi Jing Wang, and Wei Wei Lan. All these long term trainings establish a well foundation of her music.

     Yun Zhen Liu is a musician with great experiences of stage performing and competition. She was invited to record an album, and the score she performed in the album made her win the first place of high school group A in Cheer Taiwan International Music Competition and the second place in National Student Competition of Music in 2013. Yu Zhen Liu performed with Professor Liang Xing Tang at his solo recital in Taipei Zhongshan Hall in 2014. In the concert, they performed “Spring Snowfall”, “Ambush from All Sides”, and “Prince of Qin Smashing the Battle Line” together.

     Yun Zhen Liu won the first place of pipa solo at National Student Competition of Music in 2015. She was with Yilan County Government to represent Taiwan to visit The Bay Area, U.S. to perform at International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival in 2016. Later in 2016, Yun Zhen Liu delivered the premiere of the score “Chinese Characters” at musician Jie Ming Du’s concert in The Magic School of Green Technologies. She was the lead pipa musician to perform the score “Moonlight on Spring River” with Pipa Ensemble. In December, 2016, Yun Zhen Liu entered the Chinese Music Department of TNNUA and became a graduate student with the highest grade.

     Yun Zhen Liu broadens her horizon on many professional music categories while in university, such as piano, liuqin, zhongruan, guqin, sanxian, and vocal music. Her learning background contains the development of diverse level of art forms, which cultivates her natural, mellow, simple, and sincere pipa performing style. Meanwhile, she equips a solid and powerful stage charisma as well.
