     Jin Wen Xue is a young generation of Taiwan lute musician. She was enlightened by Mei Duan Lu when she was eight. Later, she had been received mentorship from professor Liang Xing Tang for many years. She received a careful guidance from professor Shi Rong Wang at graduate school, and has sought suggestions from many respectable musicians, such as Liang Mo Yu, Guang Zu Li, Fan Di Wang, Zi Jing Wang, and Yin Chen.

 

     Jin Wen Xue has been a joint player in many concerts. She has worked with Tainan City Traditional Orchestra, Tainan Symphony Orchestra, and Kaohsiung Youth Chinese Orchestra: “Little Sisters of the Grassland”, “Mulan”, “Ancient Trail Caprice”, “Emotion Express at Frontier Fortress”, “Wrath”. Jin Wen Xue owns a sophisticated and smooth performing style, and her expertise is the expression of timbre. She has been invited to co-work with A Symphony Orchestra from Southern Taiwan, and collaborate with Taiwan Bangzi Opera Company to perform “Wang Zhaojun”. Jin Wen Xue has explored new forms of performing arts in recent years, and was invited to perform the contemporary music scores as a workshop and opening performance musician. She participated the musical “The Sound Diary by the Sea” in 2019. This musical is a method of collective composing between the Russian theatre master Artyom KIM and TimeArt Studio. This piece is a combination of dance, drama, music and multi-media. She has performed in Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherland, and Beverly Hills, United States. In addition, she has held several recitals in National Concert Hall, Taipei, and other cities in Taiwan as well. She was invited to Penghu Cultural Center to have solo performance.

 

     Jin Wen Xue has received a seven-year solid training in Chinese Music Department of Tainan National University of the Arts. Later, she received an offer from Graduate Institute of Ethnomusicology in National Taiwan Normal University, and received a master degree. Her performance was excellent while she was at the university. She was TNNUA Star Musician in 2008, and teamed up with TNNUA Chinese Orchestra to have touring performance around Taiwan, performing grand lute concerto “Mulan”. Jin Wen Xue has been awarded scholarships several times, and a perennial champion in many competitions in Taiwan. She was the first place in both primary school and junior high school groups, third place in senior high school group, and first place in university group in National Student Competition of Music. She was also the first place of both junior and adult groups in Musical Instrument Competition of Chinese Music Association, Taiwan. Jin Wen Xue has represented Taiwan to attend the competition in Singapore in 2007, and won the bronze medal of adult group in Asian Rising Star International Music Competition. She was selected to represent Taiwan to attend the International Golden Bell Award Lute Competition in Nanjing. She won the third place of TCO Elite Cup Lute Competition in 2012.
