Si Ying Chen leverages the position of double bass from accompaniment to major music instrument. She graduated from Conservatoire National de Région de Rueil-Malmaison, France, and was supervised by M. Dertrand Richard. In addition, she learned from Jead-Edond Pacquet, the double bass concertmaster of Orchestre national de France, and M. Devy Erlih from École Normale de Musique de Paris for chamber music when she was in France.

     Si Ying Chen won second prize of Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste of double bass of Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles in 1999. Later, she won the first prize of Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste of double bass of Conservatoire National de Région de Rueil-Malmaison in 2002. After returning Taiwan, Si Ying Chen held several solo recitals, and ensemble performances in Eslite bookstores, the Concert Hall of National Tainan University, and Guiren Cultural Center…etc. With different scales of concerts, Si Ying Chen becomes a very experienced performing musician.
