     Zi Wen Wang was born in Kaohsiung City, and she had been learning Erhu since she was ten years old. She received mentorship from Si Xiong Yang, Ming Kun Jiang, and Professor Lu Feng Ding. In addition, she learned various Chinese Huqin instruments from Professor Ding. Zi Wen Wang went to Shandong to receive a tutorship of Shandong Zhuiqin from master Yong Ping Wu, a well-known Zhuiqin musician, and the concertmaster of Frontiers Chinese Orchestra, Jinan in 2010. Later, she went to Inner Mongolia to receive mentorship of Matouqin and Sihu from Ge Le Qing, a well-known Matouqin musician, and the Deputy Head of Inner Mongolia Art Theatre, and master Tao Ge Tao, a well-known Sihu musician. She had been guided by Qi Bao Li Gao, the famous Matouqin musician, and participated in a TV programme recording of CCTV, Beijing. Zi Wen Wang had held many solo recitals between 2001 and 2008. She joined the south yangzi string and pipe ensemble of TNUTA to attend the first “Domestic and Overseas Jiangnan Sizhu Music Invitational Tournament” in Hangzhou, and won the third place. Zi Wen Wang was one of the “Shining Star” members of Taipei Chinese Orchestra. She participated in London 2012 Festival, BT River of Music (Asia Stage) music festivals in 2012.

 

     Zi Wen Wang owns a mellow and rich playing timbre, and her performing style is sophisticated and infectious. All of these lead to her unique stage charisma. She had worked with many famous conductors, such as Bao Wen Gu, Wen Qing Su, Jiang Bin Liu, and Wen Xian Liu, to perform great concertos. Since she became the official member of Tainan City Traditional Orchestra, she has been working with the orchestra to perform “Liao Tian-ding”, “The Swallow”, and other scores. Zi Wen Wang is passionate in the art of stage performance, and she has been dedicated to teaching and passing the legacy on the younger generation in recent years. She is the tutor of many schools, and the judge of domestic and overseas music competitions. The students receiving her mentorship have an outstanding performance in many contests as well.
