Yu Jing Liu was graduated from a seven-year system of Chinese Music Department in Tainan National University of the Arts, and got master degree from the Institute of Ethnomusicology in TNNUA. She received mentorship from master Li Ting Peng and Professor Lu Feng Ding. Her sub-majors have been piano, cello, and computer music. Yu Jing Liu owns a sophisticated, mellow and soft performing style, and she has become one of the talented hu qin musician in the new generation in recent years. She has been exploring a performing style with more diversity in recent years. Besides recitals and concerts, Yu Jing Liu has been devoted herself to participate different ensemble forms and other chamber music performing styles.

     In addition, she is determined to pass on the legacy of hu qin performing experience and techniques, and holds “joint concerts” of mentor and protégé on a regular basis.

     Yu Jing Liu is often invited to be the judge in all sorts of music competitions, and attend workshops everywhere to promote the art of hu qin music.
