Born in Kaohsiung, Ching-Pi Lee graduated from the Department of Chinese Music at Tainan National University of the Arts (TNUA), majoring in Pipa under Prof. Chen, I-Chien, having previously studied with Chao, Yi-Ran and Tsai, Ssu-En, and received her early training under Huang, Chiong-Huei. She minored in Liuqin and Zhongruan, studying under Prof. Chen, I-Chien.
She possesses extensive performance and competition experience, having won numerous awards. In 2025 and 2023, she held her solo recitals Seeking and Ripples at the Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts Recital Hall. In 2024, recommended by the TNUA Department of Chinese Music, she was selected for the "Rising Stars of Chinese Music Youth Musician Program" initiated by the Taipei Chinese Orchestra. That same year, she qualified as a finalist in the "Wind & Plucked" Lines and Roundness – 2024 Taoyuan Chinese Orchestra Instrumental Competition, performing as a soloist with the TCO in Touch of Whiteness. In 2022, she reached the semi-finals of the Taipei International Chinese Instrumental Competition (Pipa Category). She has consistently achieved Top 3 Distinction awards in the Pipa Solo (Group A) at the National Student Music Competition on multiple occasions. In 2019, she was selected as a "Star of TNUA," performing the Pipa concerto Late Autumn with the TNUA Chinese Orchestra at the Tainan Cultural Center. In 2021, she held her solo recital Resonance of the Heart at the Kaohsiung Music Hall.
