
Chen Po-Yuan is a recipient of the National Theater and Concert Hall’s Young Talent Award for Traditional Instrumental Music. He won first prize in both the dizi and xiao solo categories of the Professional Division (Group A) at the National Student Competition of Music, as well as championship titles in the youth and adult dizi solo divisions of the National Instrumental Music Competition organized by the Chinese Music Association of the Republic of China.
From an early age, Chen studied within the integrated music education system of Tainan National University of the Arts, where he was mentored by Professors Chen Chung-Shen and Cheng De-Yuan. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the university. In 2025, he entered the doctoral program in Applied Performance Theory at the Graduate Institute of Applied Musicology, Tainan National University of the Arts.
